The struggle: many designers work for undesirable clients in order to obtain money to pursue work they are more passionate about. In this editorial design, I select various works from Tibor Kalman’s prolific career. Each work is rated for its “corporate” versus “coolness”. The book takes an irreverent and sarcastic approach to a sensitive subject. I use sticky notes and my own handwriting to celebrate banality in the spirit of the beloved and controversial designer.
