Typography and typefaces were originally used for visual communication. As a “visual language”, graphic designers use typography to explore the interaction between the look of type and what type actually says. And in professional graphic design, visual language refers to the character and significance created by carefully selected typography. This project began from a game class where I combined type and game. Type+Diary is an APP that functions as a vehicle to give the user opportunities to cultivate their type with daily emotion. In this creative project I explored the research question: is it possible people can have their own type which combined their personality?
